what: The Luis Midence-directed experimental stage-play "Who is Sylvia" will integrate a 3-camera live video setup on-stage which will be edited and shown live on projection and television screens as a part of the production. MAFIA has been asked to head-up all live-video production aspects and we are looking for a Producer/Technical Director, 3 camera-operators and a Boom Operator for the production. - TCHAIKOVSKY WORLD PREMIERE DOC.

what: MAFIA will be shooting the world-premiere of the new Tchaikovsky piece at the concert on Feb 4th. The footage will be included in a documentary being made about the event.

- FREEDOMLAND MAFIA FILM SCREENING!!!

what: The recently completed JC Schroder-directed 14-minute mafia-film FREEDOMLAND will have a private-screening for cast, crew, friends, and MAFIA members as its send-off to over 20 international film festivals (including Sundance and Cannes). The film's soundtrack was composed by "Angel" and "Buffy" composer Douglas Stevens. A Q&A session with the filmmakers will take place after the screening. Come, chat, hang-out and have fun! what: Our year's first "General Assembly" meeting. We encourage all members and interested non-members to attend. We will talk a bit about the org., show a few clips from films we've made, fill you in on some cool stuff where doing this year (including the 1st annual Oxford International Film Festival) and have members pitch films they plan to make this year. We'll have a lot of our equipment on-hand to check-out, ask questions, and a New Member session will follow the meeting for anyone wishing to join M.A.F.I.A.
